Green furniture for the almost-mass markets. DeBoer’s has launched its EverGreen inititative, bringing a collection of eco-friendly furnishings to its customers. What are their criteria? It must be made with wood from sustainable forests, have low VOCs (volatile organic compounds), be available in eco-friendly fibers, be available with natural foam and/or produced in a facility that endeavors to minimize its impact on the environment. DeBoer’s is only in Ontario but they do have a catalogue which usually means they are willing to ship.
